Which payment methods does Shopbot accept?

Shopbot accepts payment by credit card (Amex, Visa, Mastercard). This is the simplest and most efficient method to ensuring that your products get online quickly and stay there.

What information do I need to open my account?

Some information is required to create your account and put our offers live.

Do merchants experience a boost in sales in Shopbot?

While we can’t guarantee the number of sales you will receive from our website, we do offer a sales tracking device that will allow you to see how many of the visitors we send through to you actually convert into sales. All of our partners have a high return on investment, with some even finding that Shopbot sends them more customers than any of their other marketing tools.

What type of products cannot be listed on Shopbot?

Some products can’t be listed on Shopbot as a matter of compliance with legal or regulatory restrictions (for example, prescription drugs or agricultural/food products) or Shopbot policy (for example, crime scene photos).

Can I sell products in Canada and Australia?

We require all businesses that sign up on Shopbot to be able to ship to the country in which products will be listed, as well as accept the local currency of that country.

Is my business eligible to be on Shopbot?

We require all businesses that sign up on Shopbot to be able to ship to the country in which products will be listed, as well as accept the local currency of that country.

How many categories does Shopbot have?

You can list your products in all categories, as long as it is compliant to legal or regulatory restrictions.

Getting Started

How can I create an account?

Creating your own account with Shopbot is quick and simple to do.
All you need to do is follow the steps below:

1. Choose your plan

2. Fill out the subscription form here.

3. Make sure you attach your feed in the subscription form. To help you, see the section “How to create my feed data?”

Our team will send you an email confirmation with your Shopbot access. And that’s it! You’ll be ready to go and reach for the sky.

How do I get my products up on Shopbot?

You need an account to be able to list your products.
To get your products online, we only need 2 things: your data feed, as well as a bit of credit in your account. It’s that simple. So how to get started?
All you need to do to list your products is follow the steps below:

3. Make sure you attach your feed in the subscription form. To help you, see the section “How to create my feed data?”

How long does it take for my products to be listed?

Are there any hidden costs?

There are no hidden costs in Shopbot. Our monthly plans come with no engagement and no extra fees.

We offer transparency on clicks and sales, as well as other functionalities available through your Shopbot Account.

Do I need to be a developer to use Shopbot?

No, you don’t need to be a developer to use Shopbot. Setting up a feed is quite simple. To help you, see section “How to create a data feed.”

When am I billed?

The monthly subscription plans begin as soon as you finish the 14-days free trial. Then, your monthly subscription fee will be charged at the same date unless otherwise stated in any promotional offers.

I’m Already Listing on Shopbot

Where can I see my products?

Once you account has been activated, you’ll receive a link with the shop page.
Your products will be listed in their corresponding categories, if possible they’ll be matched with other merchants that sell similar products. If you have a popular product, it’ll be featured in the Home Page, and/or in specific events page (i.e.: Black Friday, Cyber Monday).

How can I boost my traffic?

Would you like to occupy the top spot of your category on Shopbot? Using Shopbot’s new bid management tool, SmartBid, it enables you to boost the visibility of your products in a specific Shopbot category or multiple categories. Shops have now full control when it comes to ranking first with full transparency on clicks and cost. So let’s start outbidding your competitors.
With this tool, you can bid on products per category to boost their visibility. Bidding is currently only possible per category and not per product. The ability to bid per product will soon be a feature that SmartBid will offer, stay tuned for our next rollout!

How can I track my sales?

How can I top up my account?

Topping up your account is easy and quick with Shopbot. 

All you need to do is connect to your Shopbot account and click on Top up (on top right section).

💡Note :To make things easier, you can also store your Ccd details during the payment and get the auto top up when it’s required.

Why aren't my products being compared to other products in the same category?

Either there are no product pages on this category or your products haven’t been linked to our product pages by our content team yet.

Some Technical Information

What is a data feed?

A data feed is a file that contains all the information about the products you sell. The more “pieces of information” you give to describe your products, the better we can do our job to ensure they will receive the most online visibility they can get.

In order to list your products on Shopbot, you will be required to give us a list of your products, along with their descriptions, manufacturer part numbers, image URLs, and categories. We typically work with either CSV or XML file formats and strongly recommend creating an automatic data feed, as creating one manually can be time-consuming, prone to errors, and requires frequent updating.

If you have already sent a data feed to another provider, we should be able to integrate it here at Shopbot with no problem.

If I can’t make a feed, can I still sign up with Shopbot?

If you are having difficulty creating an automatic data feed, our tech team may be able to crawl your website to get the necessary details. While we have developed a web crawling technology that enables us to extract this information from your website, we do not recommend this option as it can be inaccurate. But no worries, our team would be more than happy to get you started by helping you create your feeds automatically. Contact us for more details.

Which data feed formats does Shopbot accept?

In order to get your products listed on Shopbot, we ask all our shops to give us a data feed file using the following standard formats: CSV,TXT, XML and Google Shopping.

For quality reasons we do NOT accept the following: RTF, RSS, XLS.

How to create a data feed

You have 2 solutions to send your feed to our Shopbot team either, by URL or via FTP. And that’s it, we’ll take care of the rest. Ready to launch?
Select your feed solution:

● To send by URL: Send us by email the URL to your data feed so that it is downloadable.

● To send via FTP: Send us by email the product feed file and we can open up an FTP space on our servers, so that you can upload your data feed directly on Shopbot.

How to import your products feed using a data feed URL

The easy way to get your products live is to send us a data feed URL containing your product catalog.

Step 1 Create and Save your Data feed As .XML or .CSV
Step 2 Create your URL (See example below)
Step 3 Send it to Shopbot

Please read the section “What should your data feed contain?” to ensure that your data feed is compliant with Shopbot.

How to import your products feed to Shopbot using an FTP

The fastest way to get your products live is to send us a data feed through a file containing your product catalog.
Once your file sent, our Content Team will automatically create and send you your FTP access.
Below an example of the FTP access :
Shopbot FTP: ftp-acquisition.shopbot-inc.com:21/
Login: your username
Password: your password

To get this option, please don’t forget to choose the FTP option and join your CSV,TXT, XML and Google Shopping file during the subscription.

To be sure that your data feed is compliant with Shopbot, please read the section “What should your data feed contain?”

How can I close my Shopbot Account?

If you want to close your account permanently, our Support Team can assist you. Keep in mind that you can suspend your listings, or you can remove your listings entirely but hold on to your account for future use.
All you need to do to close your account is send a request by email at support@shopbot-inc.com.

Once our team will receive the request, your account will be automatically stopped and you’ll receive an email confirmation.

How can I reset my password?

You lost your Shopbot access! No worries about that, all you need to do is send an email to support@shopbot-inc.com or click on the “Forgotten password” on the login page.

What should your data feed contain?

Below you will find all the mandatory and optional fields that your data feed should contain in order to be compliant with Shopbot. If your products contain fields that we happen to not mention below, please add them as the last columns in your feed. The more information you give, the better!
Please note: We do not accept duplicate products (same URL or same ID).
Mandatory fields:

Description of Mandatory Fields
ID The ID is the identifier of your product. It’s important that you always use the same unique ID of each product. Each ID will then be matched to a unique Shopbot ID, so it’s important that they remain stable (old IDs must not be reused for new products).
Example: 456
Product Name This is the name of the product with a maximum capacity of 300 characters, please modify if
necessary. The product name should include the manufacturer and model.
Example: TomTom XXL 540 GPS Portable XXL540WTE
Product’s URL This is the URL of the product, the landing page to your consumers. This page must lead the user to the correct product detail page.
Example: http://dummy.com/tomtom-portable-gps-unit-xxl540wte.html
Product’s Category This is the main category of your product from your website. The category must contain as much details (or levels) as possible. If a product has multiple categories, please make sure the same category is chosen each time your feed is downloaded.
Example: Motors:Electronics:GPS
Image URL This field should contain the URL of the product’s image on your website. The larger the image, the
better the product will be showcased and clicked on Shopbot.
Minimum size accepted: 300×300 pixels Image format: → Preferably in jpeg → White background images accepted only
Example: http://dummy.com/images/tomtom540.jpg Note: We do not accept images with a coloured background or with logos. Please leave the background white to bring value to the product itself.
Sale Price This is the sale price of the product including the discount. Prices on Shopbot will be all displayed in
US format.
US Format: 1,000.00
Other accepted formats are: 1000 / $1000 / $1.000,10 / 1.000,10
Original Price This is the normal price of the product before a discount. Prices on Shopbot will be all displayed in
US format.
US Format: 1,500.00 Other accepted formats are: 1000 / $1000 / $1.000,10 / 1.000,10
Product Description This is the description of the product. Do not include HTML tags, otherwise the product will not be
listed.
Example: TomTom GO 5100 Car GPS Navigator, 5 inches, screen spoken directions including street
names, extra-wide touch screen and voice control.
Product Code (MPN and GTIN/UPC/EAN) Add an MPN and/or GTIN code to your product to quickly improve the quality of your data feed for
product matching on Shopbot.
MPN stands for Manufacturer Part Number. The MPN can be used as a unique ID such as
‘XXL540WTE’.
GTIN stands for Global Trade Item Number. The GTIN may be 8, 12, 13 or 14 digits long. Example:
391521685366
Brand This is the name of the product’s manufacturer. This will help users to recognize more easily your products.
Example: TomTom
Shipping Info This is where you indicate your shipping costs. Clients that offer free shipping
should definitely take advantage of this field to promote further their product.
– To display “Free Shipping” please indicate with: a zero “0” or “Free”.
– To display shipping costs that are greater than 0, indicate the total price.
If you cannot provide any shipping information or if there’s a special condition that applies to the
product in question please, leave the field blank or indicate this with a hyphen “-”. In such scenario, we will simply display “+ Shipping”.

Yes, definitely. Shopbot’s technology provides you with reporting to help you get the most out of our services. Statistics are updated regularly, showing you the number of visitors, your most popular categories, and your most popular products. We also provide you with a tracking code to see exactly how many of our referrals are converted into sales, as well as the sales turnover on the amount invested.

How long must I stay with Shopbot?

Our partners are never tied into our services, so you are not obligated to stay with Shopbot for any particular length of time. We want our merchants to be completely satisfied with their experience here, but if you do find that you do not wish to continue with Shopbot, you are free to leave at any time.
